What do we do with your information?

LBC Wise Counsel (trading name for LawBook Consulting Limited) will be the “Controller” of the personal data you provide to us.

When you purchase membership of My LBCambridge, an event or an item from our members store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

With your permission, we may send you emails about our events, new site content and other updates.

Consent

When you provide us with personal information to create your membership account there is a member’s profile page where we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, by updating your preferences on your membership profile page or by contacting us at ls@lbcwisecounsel.com.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.

Payment

We use a third-party payment processor (STRIPE) to process payments made to us. In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain any personally identifiable information or any financial information such as credit card numbers.

The third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK as is IT hosting and maintenance on a secure server behind a firewall.

Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
